BARDOT EYES MOVE TO SWEDEN
Legendary actress BRIGITTE BARDOT is threatening to leave her native France for Sweden in protest at what she perceives as the French "insensitivity" to mink. Animal rights campaigner Bardot has written a letter to Swedish Prime Minister GORAN PERSSON to thank his country for being one of the few animal-loving nations on the planet. The 71-year-old also made her feelings towards the French government clear, attacking its recent criticism of the Swedish proposal to introduce new European Commission rules on conditions for raising minks. Bardot says, "To the contrary of (GRETA) GARBO, who left Sweden to finish her days in the US, perhaps I will leave France to finish my days in Sweden, since today I feel much closer to Swedish sensitivity than to French insensitivity."
