BANKS FINALLY SHOW SPIELBERG THE MONEY
Nearly nine months after Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks closed a $325-million deal with India's Reliance Big Entertainment to partially finance its movies over the next three years, Spielberg has finally landed the required matching financing in the U.S., according to the Hollywood Reporter. The trade publication said that JPMorgan Chase is leading the group of backers with a contribution of $75 million, while City National and Bank of America have agreed to put up $50 million. Additionally the Walt Disney Company, which will be distributing the DreamWorks films, has already said that it is in for $175 million.
