BANDS LINED UP FOR FIRST WELSH MUSIC FESTIVAL

MANIC STREET PREACHERS, KEANE and FEEDER have been lined up to headline the first music festival staged in Wales. More then 50 bands will perform across four stages at Singleton Park, Swansea from 13 to 15 July (07), with 30,000 fans expected to attend the inaugural event, branded Fflam - the Welsh word for 'flame'. JOHN CURD, of the festival's promoter Straight Music, says, "Our aim is that Fflam will become to Wales what (music festival) T In The Park is to Scotland. "We see this as a long-term investment in Wales, driven by our passion for quality music and giving great value for money. "As well as giving locals the chance to see some of the best live bands around, we are also dedicated to nurturing new talent and the full line-up will reflect that. "Fflam will put Wales firmly on the festival map for years to come."
