BANDERAS ORDERED TO DEMOLISH VILLA

ANTONIO BANDERAS must demolish part of his beachfront Spanish villa after losing a court battle to retain the land for himself.
The Desperado star had hoped to suspend the demolition of a portion of his luxury Marbella home, which stands on an area marked for communal beach use, but officials at the Andalucia High Court overruled the order.
The actor was said to have been offered a deal to pay the community $3 million (£2 million), the equivalent of the property's value, in exchange for the right to keep his home intact.
But a lawyer representing the local Community of Owners insists negotiations have failed and the star must surrender the area.
