BALDWIN CAR THEFT CHARGES DROPPED

Charges that actor DANIEL BALDWIN unlawfully took a car and received stolen property have been dropped. The 46-year-old was arrested in Santa Monica, California in November (06) for driving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) that was reported stolen in Orange County. Baldwin maintained his innocence on all charges and claimed he borrowed the vehicle from a friend. Local District Attorney spokesperson Farrah Emami tells website TMZ.com, "After following up on statements provided to us by witnesses and the victim, we have determined that the evidence didn't support us going forward with the case and all charges have been dropped."
