BADU'S SHOW DELAYED BY ALLEGED STALKER

ERYKAH BADU's performance at the South By Southwest festival was delayed after police arrested an alleged stalker who barricaded the singer inside her Dallas, Texas home.
The soul star nearly missed her performance at the Austin music festival on Saturday (21Mar09) after calling police to report a woman who had visited her home multiple times had "several misc. (miscellaneous) items spread out in the grass".
Badu took to her Twitter.com page to update fans, writing: "Police just apprehended a stalker in front of my house. Stay tuned for details".
Authorities arrived, prompting the woman to take off on foot before she was "pepper sprayed and (hand) cuffed", according to Badu.
The singer travelled nearly 200 miles (321.87 kilometres) to her evening show, where she arrived in time to play two songs before promptly leaving.
