BADU EXPLAINS 'TWEETING' DAUGHTER'S BIRTH

Soul singer ERYKAH BADU broke the news of her youngest daughter's birth on Twitter.com as part of a dare from THE ROOTS drummer QUESTLOVE.
The On & On star stunned fans by 'tweeting' through every stage of her labour with little Mars Merkaba in February (09).
But she now reveals it was the result of a challenge by her old pal.
She tells People.com's Celebrity Baby Blog, "Questlove of The Roots said, ‘I bet you won’t Twitter while you’re in labour.' I said, ‘I bet I will.’ So I did.”
And Badu's followers on Twitter are always asking after the tot: "They ask about her every month. (When) she turned six months, I got a lot of ‘Happy six months.’ She’s the first Twitter baby.”
Mars is Badu's child with producer Jay Electronica. She also has two other kids from her previous relationships with Andre 3000 of Outkast and rapper The D.O.C.
