BADLY DRAWN BOY DONATES TOUR CASH TO CHARITY
British songwriter BADLY DRAWN BOY will donate proceeds from his upcoming tour to charity. The SILENT SIGH star - real name DAMON GOUGH - will hand over GBP1 ($1.80) of every ticket sold on his UK and Irish road trip to British charity Oxfam. Following his September (06) tour, Badly Drawn Boy is also taking part in Oxfam's month of fundraising music events, Oxjam, in October (06). He says, "Oxjam offers the chance for thousands of people to use music to achieve something together, which is an idea that gets me excited. "No matter how small your event, you'll be forming a part of the biggest music festival this country has ever seen. I'd encourage everyone to get involved if they can - it's as simple as picking up a guitar."
