BACON ROCKS OUT WITH SCHOOL BAND

KEVIN BACON thrilled students at a U.S. performing arts school when he sat down with young songwriters for a jam session.
The actor kicked off Wanna Play Music Week in the U.S. on Monday (04Mar09) with a visit, along with his sibling and Bacon Brothers bandmate Michael, to LaGuardia High School Of Music and Performing Arts in New York City.
Students joined Bacon for a rendition of Mustang Sally before passing around a microphone and creating a song as part of an improv session, according to the New York Daily News.
Bacon joked, "That is kind of the essence of what playing in a band is really like: passing it off, supporting and encouraging each other.
"Music is a great outlet, whether you are pro or not."
