BACHCHAN RECEIVES DEATH THREATS

Bollywood legend AMITABH BACHCHAN has thanked police in India for capturing a man who sent him "disturbing" death threats.
The actor, 66, was sent a series of threatening text messages, demanding $5 million (GBP2.7 million), during a recent trip to London.
Bachchan, who informed police in Mumbai, alleges the perpetrator had claimed to be in contact with the star's family.
Police have now arrested 25-year-old Devi Singh Rajpurohit in connection with the allegation.
Bachchan says, "I must compliment the police force of Maharashtra (state) for having worked so rapidly in getting to the problem and taking suitable action."
