BACHCHAN OUT OF HOSPITAL

LATEST: Bollywood legend AMITABH BACHCHAN has been discharged from hospital after treatment for acute abdominal pains.
The actor was hospitalised on Saturday (11Oct08) - his 66th birthday - suffering from an "intestinal obstruction", and medical staff at the clinic in Mumbai, India put him on a liquid diet to improve his health.
Bachchan, who reportedly suffered from an incisional hernia, left the hospital on Friday (17Oct08) surrounded by police guards.
An administrative officer at Lilavati Hospital confirms Bachchan was escorted by his son, Abhishek Bachchan, and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, both celebrated Bollywood stars.
