BABYSHAMBLES PLAY NEW SONGS AT LONDON GIG

BABYSHAMBLES debuted some new songs at an intimate gig at London's Rhythm Factory in the early hours of this morning.

The group previewed a number of demo songs during the 18-song set including PEGGY SUE.

The show was the second in a series of three at the venue.

Frontman PETE DOHERTY played a solo show on December 17th and the full band will play another gig tonight.

According to NME, the show was a chaotic affair with the band showing up 45 minutes late, having being delayed by bassist DREW MCCONNELL's guitar breaking.

The house lights then failed during the band's opening number SIDE OF THE ROAD.

Half way through the gig, Doherty was presented with a Christmas present from a fan.

The gift was a frame containing photos from his solo set and a ticket stub reading: "Thanks for a fantastic performance."

Afterwards Doherty told the music magazine: "Don't know anything about that gig – it was nothing to do with me!"

Meanwhile, according to the Sunday People, a British TV channel has offered Pete a £50,000 deal to make a documentary about his relationship with supermodel KATE MOSS.

It is also reported that the singer is attempting to embrace a healthier lifestyle and kick his drug habit.

He is even considering running the London marathon next year.
