ATWELL SURPRISED BY ALLEN CASTING
British actress HAYLEY ATWELL was stunned to land a part in WOODY ALLEN movie CASSANDRA'S DREAM, after a "miserable", "nasty" and "horrible" audition process. The 25-year-old newcomer was convinced she had flunked the try-out, the first time she had read for a part. Atwell says, "I left thinking, 'That was appalling - I don't know if I even want to do this.' "I felt like it was this nasty experience that I had failed miserably at. "The whole thing was a very odd experience - nothing like I expected. I was less than a year out of drama school, so I thought the first one was a horrible audition. And the second one was this half-hour informal chat. And then I was told, 'Woody would like to give you the part.'"
