ATTENBOROUGH RECOVERING WELL FOR FILM ROLE

Veteran actor LORD RICHARD ATTENBOROUGH has vowed to regain his health in time to fulfil his summer (09) obligations to new film IRONCLAD.
The 85-year-old Oscar winner was admitted to St George's Hospital in Tooting, West London on 18 December (08) after he fell and slipped into a coma.
He regained consciousness and was kept under observation by concerned doctors throughout the Christmas period.
Three months after the accident, Attenborough is still being treated at the South London medical facility, but was seen out in public for the first time since the accident this week (begs23Mar09), when he visited a specialist neurological clinic.
A spokesperson for the star insists he is making steady progress and is determined to be discharged in time to tackle his 74th film role this summer in historical movie Ironclad, alongside Robert Carlyle, James Purefoy and Pete Postlethwaite.
The representative says, "He remains committed to the project. He has been growing stronger by the day. He is confident he will be well enough by the summer. He's doing well and he will be having rehabilitation when he's out."
