ATLANTIC RECORDS BOSS PAYS TRIBUTE TO BURRELL
LATEST: Atlantic Records founder AHMET ERTEGUN has paid tribute to late rocker RAYMOND 'BOZ' BURRELL, who died after a heart attack in Spain on Thursday (21SEP06). Burrell played bass for two big name Atlantic bands, KING CRIMSON and BAD COMPANY, who became the first group signed to LED ZEPPELIN's new Swan Song label - at Atlantic offshoot. Ertegun recalls, "Boz was a great musician and a great human being. "We will miss him terribly, but his many fans will never forget all that he contributed to the history of rock and roll."
