ATKINSON BLASTS GAY HATE LAW
British funnyman ROWAN ATKINSON warns the U.K. government's plans to outlaw homophobic bullying will destroy comedy. The Mr Bean comedian fears the proposed law, intended to make homophobic slurs a criminal offence, will lead to comedians being penalised for cracking gay jokes. He says the law has "serious implications for freedom of speech, humour and creative expression".
