ARMSTRONG INVITES FANS TO JOIN HIM ON BIKE HIKE BY TWEET

Cycling celebrity LANCE ARMSTRONG thrilled Los Angeles bikers on Thursday morning (10Sep09) with a race around the city's Griffith Park.
The former Tour de France champ announced his plans to cycle with fans in a Twitter.com message on Wednesday night (09Sep09) and hundreds of fans got up early to cycle with their hero.
Armstrong wrote, "Hey LA - get out of your cars and get on your bikes. Time to ride. 7:30 tomorrow am. Griffith Park, LA Zoo parking lot. See you there."
His ride lasted just under an hour and the cycling champ has since 'tweeted', "It was good. Be back soon... Great ride in Griffith Park. Thanks, LA!"
