Legendary singer Aretha Franklin cherishes the close relationship she's maintained with her ex-husband Glynn Turman, praising the actor as a "beautiful man".
The Respect star wed Turman, her second husband, in 1978, but the marriage didn't last and they divorced in 1984.
They remained friends and she went on to sing the theme song for his 1980s TV sitcom A Different World - and Franklin, 68, reveals the former couple still speak regularly on the phone.
In an interview with U.S. talk show host Wendy Williams, she says, "Glen was a sharp guy. And he's a beautiful man. We talk all the time."
The Queen of Soul, who overcame a mystery health crisis in December (10), also admitted she would be open to heading down the aisle again in the future, adding, "Of course, I love marriage, I love the institution."
