ARCTIC MONKEYS TO SHOWCASE NEW MATERIAL
THE ARCTIC MONKEYS are planning to debut new material from their forthcoming album at secret gig in New Zealand, it has been reported.
Scheduled for a venue in Wellington on January 13th, the gig will come just three days before the band perform at the Big Day Out festival.
The Sheffield quartet have been working on the follow-up to 2007's FAVOURITE WORST NIGHTMARE with QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman Josh Homme taking production duties on the record.
A source told the Sun newspaper: "It was supposed to be a secret. The lucky few fans in Wellington were going to arrive thinking they were attending a little warm-up gig before the Big Day Out festival kicks off in Auckland on January 16."
The insider added that the select group of fans will be the first to hear the new album which is now almost finished.
No official release date for the new album has yet been announced.
