ARCTIC MONKEYS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING

British rockers the ARCTIC MONKEYS lived up to the name of their new single last month (Aug09) - they were CRYING LIGHTNING when their tour bus was struck during a storm in Germany.
The band had been playing a string of shows across Europe but their tour came to a sudden halt when their vehicle was hit by a bolt of lightning just outside of Hanover, Germany.
Frontman Alex Turner says, "We got struck near Hanover and the bus broke down. We had a nightmare journey but we're trying our best to forget about it now."
