ARCTIC MONKEYS' AGING ALBUM
Arctic Monkeys new album showcases a new, older, more experimental sound, producers say.
Arctic Monkeys "get weird, grow up and trip out" on their new album.
The 'Brianstorm' rockers' fans will be stunned by their forthcoming new album 'Humbug', say their producers.
Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme said: "This is the record where they get weird, grow up and trip out."
Co-producer Simian Mobile Disco agreed, saying: "It'll definitely surprise people, especially people who are familiar with things like 'I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor' and stuff like that, they might be quite taken aback.
"They're progressing and moving forward trying to change, push themselves and push their audience which I think is rare in a lot of bands today. They've just got more relaxed with themselves - they're comfortable doing what they're doing. "
Josh has also spoken about why he agreed to work with the Sheffield group, saying he was attracted by frontman Alex Turner's lyrics.
He explained to America's GQ magazine: "I was sucked in at first by the lyrics. Alex sounded like a rare poet playing music - he has a special gift for the gab."
