APATOW EXPERIENCES FILM HIGHS AND LOWS ON SET
Filmmaker JUDD APATOW experienced new highs and lows on the set of his comedy FUNNY PEOPLE - his hero JAMES TAYLOR agreed to perform for him, but he had to watch best pal ADAM SANDLER and his actress wife pretend to make love.
The Knocked Up writer/director made the most of his time with Taylor, when the singer/songwriter agreed to make a cameo in the film.
Apatow explains, "I got what I needed and then I made him perform 30 more songs... I just thought, 'Oh my God, I can manipulate James Taylor into singing more songs for my amusement. It's the greatest day ever.'"
And Apatow was shocked at how comfortable his wife was while making fake love to his best friend.
"They weren't that uncomfortable having sex with each other onscreen. I've never seen two people look so happy. My wife was like, 'I'm glad it's not Judd.'"
But, joking aside, Apatow's wife, Leslie Mann, admits her husband found the sex scenes a little awkward: "It does make him uncomfortable."
