ANTHRAX UNVEIL NEW FRONTMAN

Heavy rockers ANTHRAX have made a part-time personal trainer their new lead singer. The remaining members of the band have been searching for a new frontman since talks with original singer Joey Belladonna collapsed last year (06). On Thursday (13Dec07) they unveiled lifelong fan Dan Nelson. Nelson says, "It really is a dream come true. I've been on pins and needles waiting to hear and I still can't believe it." The 31-year-old was hired two weeks ago and has already started working on songs with bandmates Scott Ian, Rob Caggiano, Charlie Benante and Frankie Bello - for a new album. He adds, "The new songs are the real deal they're really looking to recreate Anthrax. They are looking to do something timeless."
