Cult rockers QUI have endured another setback just days after frontman DAVID YOW was hospitalised with a collapsed lung - guitarist MATT CRONK has suffered three strokes. Former The Jesus Lizard frontman Yow was taken to hospital following a concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Friday (25Jan08) and now the three-piece has revealed Cronk also received medical treatment earlier this week (begs28Jan08) after suffering three strokes. Drummer Paul Christiansen says Cronk has an "inflamed, infected and strained heart". He adds, "Both (Yow and Cronk) are doing better with hopeful futures, but are not out of the woods yet." As a result, Qui have called off their 11 February (08) gig in Eagle Rock, California as well as dates in Europe.
