ANOTHER GUN THREAT WOMAN COMES FORWARD IN SPECTOR CASE
Prosecutors aiming to prove music mogul PHIL SPECTOR killed actress LANA CLARKSON at his home in 2003 have unearthed a sixth woman who claims the producer threatened her with a gun.
Last year's (07) murder trial ended with a hung jury and now the case is scheduled to return to a Los Angeles court in October (08), with prosecutors adding a new witness to testify about Spector's violent nature towards women.
Five former assistants and girlfriends of the legendary music producer came forward with claims against Spector last year (07), and now prosecutors have located a new witness, Norma Kemper.
She claims Spector brandished a gun during a dinner with her at Dan Tana's restaurant in Hollywood in 1996.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the incident took place on Kemper's first day as Spector's personal assistant.
She claims the mogul threatened her with his gun when his drunken efforts to kiss her were rebuffed.
According to court papers, Kemper, who went on to work for Spector for four years, recalls her boss telling her, "You know I could kill you right now."
Spector, 67, stands accused of shooting Clarkson in the foyer of his Alhambra, California mansion. The producer maintains the actress killed herself.
Meanwhile, one former witness for the prosecution, Dianne Ogden, died of an accidental overdose of prescription medication in December (07). Prosecutors have asked that a video of her testimony is included in the retrial.
