ANNA NICOLE DIED A BRIDE-TO-BE

ANNA NICOLE SMITH was making plans to wed her partner HOWARD K. STERN on 23 February (07) when she passed away. The actress died on her way to hospital on Thursday (08FEB07) after her nurse found the model/actress unconscious in her suite at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel + Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The trip to Florida was set to be one of Smith's final holidays as a single mum - she had set a date to wed Stern in The Bahamas, and invited producers of US TV news show ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT to cover the nuptials. Smith and Stern were 'wed' in a "spiritual ceremony" by the model's former lawyer MICHAEL SCOTT on board a catamaran anchored off Blackbeard's Cay in Nassau last September (06). The odd ceremony, which was not legally binding, came just 18 days after the death of Smith's 20-year-old son DANIEL (10SEP06).
