ANNA FRIEL'S MOTHERLY LOVE

Anna Friel couldn't believe how much motherhood changed her life and the love she felt for her daughter.

Anna Friel was shocked at her much she loved her daughter.

The 'Land of the Lost' actress - who raises four-year-old Gracie Ellen Mary with her partner of nine years, 'Harry Potter' actor David Thewlis - hadn't planned on having children but was amazed at the feelings she had when she became a mother.

She said: "I never planned it. If you don't have children, all I'm saying is that you'll miss out on having this beautiful, innocent, adorable little thing that'll love you like you've never been loved before. And it makes everything else just not as important, so you go at things with a lot more confidence."

Anna also admits Gracie's arrival "changed everything" about the logistics of her relationship with David but says she still likes to be in control.

She told Britain's Sunday Times newspaper: "I like her ruling the roost, and dictating what happens."

She also said she would like to get married at some point but is in no rush.

She revealed: "I always thought I would get married, you know, get married and then have kids. But then I don't know what happened, it all went topsy-turvy."
