ANISTON TALKS PUBLICLY FOR FIRST TIME ABOUT BRANGELINA

Jennifer Aniston has broken her silence for the first time about her ex-husband Brad Pitt and his new partner Angelina Jolie.

The Friends star and Pitt were divorced in January 2005, with rumours emerging at the time that Pitt and Jolie struck up their romance on the set of 2004's Mr and Mrs Smith.

Speaking to Vogue magazine, Aniston, 39, has said she believes Jolie should have been less open about discussing her relationship with the Ocean's Eleven actor.

"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston says in the upcoming issue of Vogue.

"I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss… That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."

Jolie had said she and Pitt were "brought together to do all these crazy things" while working on Mr and Mrs Smith and "found this strange friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened".

Despite the media frenzy that surrounded their split, Aniston explains her break-up from Pitt was "amicable".

"The marriage didn't work out," she explains. "Pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we've been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other."

Though she is repeatedly referred to as "poor lonely Jen" in the celebrity press, Aniston feels she has been "unbelievably lucky in love" and said she and current boyfriend John Mayer "adore one another".
