ANISTON: 'LAZINESS CAUSES BREAK-UPS'

JENNIFER ANISTON has shed light on the breakdown of her high-profile romances - suggesting previous lovers like JOHN MAYER and VINCE VAUGHN were too "lazy" to communicate their feelings during their relationship.
The former Friends star has been unlucky in love since her divorce from Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt in 2005, despite stepping out with the likes of Mayer, funnyman Vaughn and British model Paul Sculfor.
The actress, who has most recently been romantically linked to The Bounty co-star Gerard Butler, maintains a positive attitude towards finding happiness in the future and insists she "still believes" in love and romance.
She tells Harper's Bazaar Australia, "I'm still a romantic.
"I think it's important to have closure in any relationship that ends - from a romantic relationship to a friendship. You should always have a sense of clarity at the end and know why it began and why it ended. You need that in your life to move cleanly into your next phase."
But Aniston admits she has learned valuable lessons from all her past romances - and claims combating a "laziness" in communication is the key to a healthy relationship.
She adds, "I think a good relationship is about collaboration. That's the way to go in a relationship. I think you just need to talk to each other.
"Say what you need. Say what you want. That way it's not threatening. You just need to say, 'This is important to me.' Don't expect your mate to read your mind."
