ANISTON BEHIND BARS FOR NEW DRAMA
JENNIFER ANISTON is ditching her tried-and-tested romantic comedies in favour of a period film - she's heading to prison to star as a singing felon.
The actress, who has enjoyed box office success with light-hearted movies such as Marley & Me and Along Came Polly, has signed on to star in upcoming movie The Goree Girls, about country music singers the Goree All Girl String Band.
The group, stars of a popular 1940s radio show, was composed of Texas inmates sentenced to jail for various crimes including robbery, murder and cattle-rustling.
The Goree Girls is slated to hit cinemas in 2010, reports the Daily Variety.
