ANGELS + AIRWAVES CLAIM TOP WOODIE

Former BLINK-182 star TOM DELONGE's new band ANGELS + AIRWAVES were the toast of the annual Woodie Awards in New York last night after claiming the event's top prize. The group claimed the Woodie of The Year award at the event, held to honour US college students' favourite emerging artists and music. British punk-pop trio THE SUBWAYS were also celebrating after landing the International Woodie prize at the Roseland Ballroom ceremony. GNARLS BARKLEY, GORILLAZ, AFI, O.A.R, IMOGEN HEAP and TAKING BACK SUNDAY also won honours.
