ANG LEE TACKLES WOODSTOCK
Moviemaker ANG LEE is heading back to Woodstock for a new biopic about the man behind the famous 1969 festival.
Greenwich Village-based interior designer Elliot Tiber was the head of the Bethel, New York, Chamber of Commerce who issued the permit for festival on his neighbour Max Yasgur's farm.
Tiber revealed all about his part in the Woodstock phenomenon in his biography Taking Woodstock: A True Story of a Riot, a Concert, and a Life, and now Brokeback Mountain director Lee is to turn his memoirs into a new film, titled Taking Woodstock.
