ANDREWS FAILS TO SPELL HER FAMOUS CATCHPHRASE

JULIE ANDREWS was left red-faced in front of a group of children when she failed to spell the 34 letter word she made famous in 1964 movie MARY POPPINS. The 71-year-old was asked to spell 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' during a spelling competition in New York on Tuesday (30JAN07) and flushed with embarrassment when she got stuck halfway. An onlooker says, "She looked so ashamed after admitting she didn't know how to spell it in front of the school children."
