ANDRE 3000 TEAMS UP WITH FARRELL FOR BASKETBALL TALE

OUTKAST singer ANDRE 3000 is teaming up with WILL FARRELL for a comedy set in the world of the US National Basketball League. The hip-hop star - real name ANDRE BENJAMIN - will play a self-styled ladies' man who is the best player on a team owned by Ferrell. The film, called SEMI-PRO, will also feature WHITE MEN CAN'T JUMP star WOODY HARRELSON. Benjamin's acting career is on a roll - he is currently shooting BATTLE IN SEATTLE and is one of the voices in upcoming animated movie CHARLOTTE'S WEB. On Thursday (07DEC06), he received two Grammy Award nominations for songs on Outkast's IDLEWILD album, which were featured in the film of the same name.
