AMY WINEHOUSE 'SPITS' AT FANS

British singer AMY WINEHOUSE managed to sink to even lower depths than she had before with fans, after a catastrophic 'performance' in Cornwall.

The REHAB singer was appearing at the Eden Project this week - her first gig for two weeks after claiming "exhaustion" - when she dashed off stage during her first few songs.

In front of a frustrated and confused crowd, Amy then returned and proceeded to slap herself around the face and bash the microphone on her head.

According to the Sun, she then forgot the lyrics to her songs, spat into the crowd and mumbled swear words.

Fans told the paper that the act was "painful to watch" and many left halfway through.

One said: "She was acting like she couldn't be bothered and being really weird.

"We paid a lot of money because I was a huge fan - but I'm not any more."

The troubled singer, whose biggest hit so far is Rehab, has been nominated this year for the Nationwide Mercury Prize.
