AMY ADAMS WAS 'RELIEVED' TO LOSE OUT ON OSCAR
Actress AMY ADAMS was glad her role in JUNEBUG failed to win her an Oscar - because she wouldn't be able to handle all the extra media attention. The Catch Me If You Can star was "relieved" when Rachel Weisz won the gong for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for the Constant Gardener at last year's (06) Academy Awards, because she would have struggled in the limelight. She says, "I wasn't prepared for the kind of attention that would have brought. And I'm terrified of public speaking. "(During the ceremony) ...I turned to my boyfriend (artist and actor Darren Le Gallo) and said, 'What if I win?' I think I'm the only person in Oscar history that looks relieved at the announcement of somebody else's name."
