AMOS SONGS INSPIRE COMIC BOOK ART

TORI AMOS' song lyrics have been turned into comic book art for a new 480-page anthology.
The singer/songwriter's tunes have been adapted by artists at Image Comics for new book Comic Book Tattoo.
Amos admits she's stunned by what the graphic artists have done with the characters and themes in her songs.
She says, "I have been surprised, excited and pleasantly shocked by these comics that are extensions of the songs that I have loved.
"I welcome these amazing stories of pictures and words because they are uncompromisingly inspiring.
"It shows you thought is a powerful formidable essence and can have a breathtaking domino effect."
The new comic art book, which hits stores in July (08), features an introduction by Sandman creator Neil Gaiman.
