TORI AMOS legally ditched her birth name MYRA ELLEN - because she hated the link to notorious British serial killer MYRA HINDLEY.
The Crucify hitmaker, who now lives in England, insists only her niece and nephews are permitted to call her Aunt Ellen - because she didn't become Tori until well after they were born.
Amos admits she refused to answer to Myra from a young age and was Ellen to all until she turned 18.
She tells Spin magazine, "Tori's my legal name (now)... It's (birth name) just bad. Come on! Wasn't Myra Hindley the worst serial killer that's ever lived. She killed children!"
