R+B singer AMERIE was mortified when her parents first listened to her music, became they had no idea her lyrics would be so raunchy. The star, who once said she likes to "be in control" of her hot image, admits she gets flack from her father for wearing revealing clothing. The 27-year-old says, "I was really embarrassed the first time I played some songs to my parents - they hadn't heard me use the word 'sexual' before. "Sometimes when I wear V-neck plunge outfits, Dad sends me an email saying, 'It's getting to a point where you're showing a little too much.'"
