ALPHABEAT LOSE NEW SONGS IN HOUSE RAID
Danish pop act ALPHABEAT have been forced to start their sophomore album from scratch after thieves stole a laptop containing their new songs. The Fascination hitmakers' home in east London was targeted by burglars recently while the sextet were in their native Denmark. And their new tracks weren't all the thieves escaped with - they also took thousands of pounds' worth of pricey recording equipment. Keyboardist Rasmus Nagel is devastated at the loss, because the songs - which were only recorded versions - are "irreplaceable". He adds, "We have lost half of our new material."
