ALLEY HELPS OUT RESIDENTS OF TORNADO RAVAGED TOWN

Veteran actress KIRSTIE ALLEY is helping residents of Greensburg, Kansas rebuild their lives after a tornado flattened their town earlier this month (May07). The former Cheers star is paying for supplies to be trucked in to aid residents and their animals recover from the disaster, which claimed the lives of nine people. Alley is also there in person with a group of Scientologist volunteers, handing out supplies including water, T-shirts, hats and socks, and food for animals. The star, who grew up in nearby Wichita, paid for all the supplies and says she expects to stay in Greensburg for a few days.
