ALL SAINTS - ALL SAINTS ALL DONE?

ALL SAINTS ALL DONE?

Just when fans were getting excited about their second comeback single, All Saints could be about to hang up their microphones for good.

The four-piece got back together at the end of last year, but their single Rocksteady barely made a dent on the top 40.

Rumour has it that Chick Fit, which is already available on You Tube, will now only be released online and that the girls could be dropped by their record label EMI.

Fans have been up in arms on the All Saints fans' forum, but it appears their devotion will not be enough and that the band's comeback will be short-lived.

Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton burst on to the music scene with their first album, I Know Where It's At, in 1997.

Their first eight singles all made the top ten, with five of them reaching number one and they sold ten million albums worldwide.

But in 2001, the group broke up after a series of squabbles, which they blamed on the pressures of touring and promoting their albums.

None of them managed to do very much outside of All Saints and after patching up their differences the girls got back together at the end of 2006.

Rocksteady and the album Studio One were billed as a major pop comeback, but it now looks as though, unlike Take That, All Saints have been unable to bring their fans with them.
