ALICE IN CHAINS STAR LOOKALIKE SIGNS UP FOR BIOPIC

Hollywood newcomer LATHAN MCKAY has been selected to play tragic ALICE IN CHAINS frontman LAYNE STALEY in upcoming biopic GET BORN AGAIN. The 30-year-old - who bears a striking resemblance to Staley - has been meeting with Argentine journalist Adriana Rubio, who wrote the autobiography the film is based on, in a bid to develop the character he will portray. MCKay has also been training with U.S. rockers Motherweiser to familiarise himself with the 1990s grunge rock band's music. Staley died in April 2002 of a drug overdose. Seattle, Washington-based Alice In Chains enjoyed success in the early 1990s with such hits as Would? and Them Bones.
