ALCHEMIST AND MOBB DEEP RAPPER ARRESTED ON GUN CHARGES
DJ THE ALCHEMIST, and MOBB DEEP's PRODIGY were arrested for gun possession early yesterday morning (26OCT06), after police pulled them over in New York for making an illegal U-turn. Officers initially stopped their vehicle for the traffic violation, but on closer inspection found a firearm hidden in the glove compartment of the Chevy Suburban, according to reports on AllHipHop.com. Both rap stars - real names ALAN 'THE ALCHEMIST' MAMAN and ALBERT 'PRODIGY' JOHNSON - were charged with illegal possession of a weapon, and subsequently released on $7,500 (GBP4,000) bail.

Just read about this on GlobalGrind.com...I can't believe he could face up to
15 years in prison for a handgun...and that Alchemist's charges were dropped.
