AILING BOLLYWOOD STAR'S MUM BEGS 'STOP SMOKING'
LATEST: Ailing Bollywood star SAIF ALI KHAN's mother fears his condition will only worsen unless he quits smoking.
Khan, 36, was rushed to a Mumbai hospital on Sunday (18FEB07) after complaining of chest pains.
Medics insist he's now out of danger, but his mother, former actress SHARMILA TAGORE, is convinced his nicotine habit will continue to jeopardise his health.
She says, "Saif's father has it (chest pain) and his grandfather too suffered from it. I hope Saif understands the repercussions and takes care now.
"He smokes a lot and has to stop now. I am sure the doctors will tell him so."
Khan has acted in around 40 movies. His hospitalisation forced him to cancel an appearance at an awards ceremony on Sunday night, where he was to be honoured for his performance in new film OMKARA.
