AFFLECK'S BIG LEAP WAS FOR NOTHING

CASEY AFFLECK took a leap of faith in brother BEN's new movie GONE BABY GONE - only to discover the quarry jump stunt wouldn't make it into the film. The actor watched co-star Michelle Monaghan jump and then decided the scene would be even better if his character leaped - and director Ben agreed. Big brother Ben explains, "Michelle has a scene in the movie where she jumps off the side of a quarry into the water - about 75 feet. "Michelle wanted to do her own thing but we were a little worried about it, but she did it and she was really kind of brave about it. "Casey thought the scene would work better and we sort of thought it would work better if he did it, so we asked him to do it and he braved up and he did it also. "And then we ended up taking it out so he felt a little betrayed. But he did do it so we'll try to squeeze that outtake into the DVD, or something. He risked his life for nothing."
