AFFLECK LEARNS WHAT'S IMPORTANT FROM SUPERMAN
Playing murdered TV SUPERMAN GEORGE REEVES in new movie HOLLYWOODLAND helped BEN AFFLECK turn his back on fame and look for substance in his life. The actor insists studying playboy Reeves' life and tragic death, which remains a mystery to this day, helped him get perspective on what's important in his life. Affleck, who admits he watched 104 episodes of Reeves' Superman series to get prepared for the part, explains, "He was an iconic guy because of who he played but he died tragically. "What he had was never enough. You need to learn there are far more things to make you happy, like a wonderful wife and child. "I'm lucky I was able to see the hollowness of fame. Family's what really matters."
