ADELE TALKS EGG TIMERS

ADELE has revealed that she was approached by a company who wanted to use one of her songs in an advert for an egg timer.

The London-born singer has enjoyed huge success with her hit album 19 and has just been nominated for best British breakthrough and best British female at today's Brit Awards (February18th).

However, she told the Daily Star that she was offered the unexpected advertising deal in Israel.

She said: "They asked me if they could use 'Hometown Glory' on a TV advert to promote an egg-timer.

"They were paying really good money but I was like 'no'. Even though nobody in England or America would probably ever see it, I definitely had to turn that down."

DUFFY and COLDPLAY are currently favourites to win Brit Awards at tonight's ceremony with four nominations each.

Other acts nominated include ELBOW, THE TINGS TINGS, RADIOHEAD, SCOUTING FOR GIRLS and GIRLS ALOUD.
