British singer ADELE has announced plans for a special gig with soul legend ETTA JAMES.
The Grammy Award-winning star took to her blog over the weekend (21/22Feb09) to tell fans she is set to co-headline a show at the Hollywood Bowl in June (09) alongside her idol.
She could hardly contain her excitement over the concert - but could incur the wrath of music bosses who were hoping to keep the collaboration under wraps until closer to the event.
Adele writes, "I dont actually know if im allowed to tell you yet but i just read it somewhere else so....Ive been booked to play the hollywood bowl in june for a while now. but ETTA JAMES just got confirmed to co headline it with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! etta james is my favourite singer ever! this is the most amazing thing ever for me! If you can come please do! i promise itll be an amazing night!"
