ACTRESS YOUNG UPSET BY 'DEGRADING' SETBACKS

BLADE RUNNER star SEAN YOUNG is desperate to revive her movie career following a series of "degrading" setbacks. The actress has become more well known in Hollywood for a series of ill-advised stunts and her infamous 1988 harassment fight with James Woods, than for her acting. And she's desperate to put the past behind her - that means an incident on the Batman Returns film set, where she infamously showed up in a handmade Catwoman suit and an embarrassing setback when she was turned down from appearing on TV talent show Dancing With The Stars. Young was also unceremoniously kicked out of the 2006 post-Oscars Vanity Fair party when she attempted to gatecrash the event as the guest of Jennifer Aniston. She says, "It was degrading." Young insists her Catwoman debacle, where she attempted to persuade Batman producers to use her instead of Michelle Pfeiffer, only became a big deal because she was a woman. She tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "That aggressiveness on my part was just not allowed for women to do. If a guy had done that - if Jim Carrey had done that... it would have been, 'Ha ha, what balls!' But, for me, it totally backfired."
